I'm no Steve Perkins

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best at updating this blog. This could be for a variety of reasons, aka excuses, that I give myself each on why it's okay to skip out and not fill the world in on my routine life. Alright, alright, maybe it's not so routine, but I usually can't pull anything together to write about. I've thought about posting past experiences on here, and by past experiences I mean the randomness that was my life from the time I was 18 until about 23. I'll save that for another time on a different blog titled "How to survive on $5 a week while having a great time, or so you think."

My time spent in DSM last weekend with the original rough shaker, Steve Perkins, was a most marvelous time. I forgot how much fun can be had playing Wii, drinking Bud Light, and listening to Kansas around 1 in the afternoon. The initial trip out there was a bit hectic with the weather being less than fun to drive in; though, we made it, and we made it safely. Kayla and I were able to experience Ohana for the first time, and I have to say that it might have lived up to the expectations I had set for it. Hard to believe. Nothing impresses me. Nothing. I'm made of stone and I eat nails.

Thankfully the girl next to me in the computer lab is playing Kanye West loud enough through her earphones in order for me to also listen in. How thoughtful on her part. I'm sure her eardrums will be even more thankful in the next few years.

I'd type more, but I'm in a rush to go get some errands done before my 1 o'clock Coms class. We're currently doing a simulation exercise where the class is divided up into Producers, Networks, and Agencies all attempting to cast a line up for TV for two nights. I'm part of the Agencies group while Kayla, who is also in the class by random chance, is part of the Producers. It's more fun than I had anticipated it being.

Ohhh, another great song on her iPod. I love to complain about other people's poor choices in music.

Hey, Steve, maybe you can play me some more Eric Prydz or whatever that terrible artists name is. Thanks!

There is only one Steve Perkins, and I hate to inform you, it ain't you!

Could be worse -- you could be sitting next to me listening to my choice in music.....

That's pretty cute.... you and Kayla in the same class. "Random" my ass....

It was most certainly RANDOM! I can't imagine actually WANTING to be in a class with Marcus, but since it worked out that way we make the best of it. =]

I AM STEVE PERKINS. No one else. I guarantee you've been listening to that song non stop now. I've got another winner for you: "someone's watching me" originally by Rockwell, but the technofied version that is currently in the Geico Commercials. You will likely make the exact same face you made while listening to call on me.
