As I sit here and yawn, I try to ignore the fact that come Monday this lavish Spring Break I've been on will have come to an end. A few days off from school, relaxing in Freeport, and within a weeks time I'm back in the swing of Dekalb life. A life that I've come to enjoy, but a life I'm thankful isn't going to last forever.
Kayla went to visit here father and sister in South Carolina earlier this week, so most of my days have been spent at home with the cat and dog that also live here. No, not my mom and sister, but Beatz the cat and Sadie the dog. I took Beatz into the vet on Tuesday morning as I made an appointment for him to get declawed - front paws only. I feel bad getting him declawed as it is, so to make myself feel better, I just did the front. This leaves him with half of his catness, while the other half got thrown into the garbage at the vets office. And now he no longer has the ability to go wolverine on my hands and arms.
While he was getting that done, I had a dentists appt. Based upon how much they charged me to get my work done, I've been contemplating a career as a DDS. Man, what took him half and hour to do, cost me what I make in a week. Though, my dentist does somewhat resemble Steve Martin, and he was telling me about how he use to be a Flight Attendant for a company based out of Hawaii. I just pretend like I payed so much money to hear a funny story from Steve Martin; that makes me feel a bit better. How ironic Steve Martin plays a dentist in Little Shop of Horrors.
The rest of my days have been filled with the usual errands. Nothing that's worth typing about.
In other news - I've officially given up drinking coffee. This, I hope, will benefit not only my teeth but also my pocketbook. Why did I ever fall prey to Starbucks shenannigans? I don't know either, but I tossed that crap out the window. But, in an effort to kick the roasted brew, I've picked up pop again, which isn't much healthier. And by that I mean not healthy at all. Oh well. Diet Pepsi's new marketing campaign just sucks me in. I feel like I'm drinking a refreshing beverage that appeals to me. Not really. Who gives a shit. It tastes good.
Michael bought xbox live for the xbox 360 I sold him this past Decemember. It's become my new drug. It's beyond addicting. Kind of like the first time you ever surfed the internet, or started chatting on AIM. Every time I look at the clock another 2 hours has passed, and I feel like such a pile of wasted space, but that's okay. You know why - see first paragraph. Spring Break. No questions asked. Be as lazy as you want.
Uh oh, my turn to play.
